Embedded Software Engineer
Kaunas 0 0 | Full time1
Salary: 2800 - 3600 EUR
We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our engineering team and develop software that runs inside our camera systems — from low-level hardware interfaces and device control to camera operation and video processing.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working close to hardware, solving challenging technical problems, and seeing their code become part of a real product.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Develop embedded software and firmware in C/C++
• Develop software for camera and electro-optical systems
• Work with microcontrollers, RTOS and Embedded Linux systems
• Integrate image sensors, sensors, communication modules and other hardware components
• Develop and maintain device drivers and low-level hardware interfaces
• Work with SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet, USB and other interfaces
• Debug and solve problems at the hardware/software boundary
• Optimize systems for performance, reliability and real-time operation
• Work closely with electronics, optics and mechanical engineers
• Contribute throughout the full product development cycle — from early prototypes to production
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Strong C/C++ programming skills
• Professional experience developing embedded software or firmware
• Experience with microcontrollers and ARM-based platforms
• Experience with RTOS and/or Embedded Linux
• Good understanding of hardware interfaces and communication protocols
• Ability to read electronic schematics and debug hardware/software integration issues
• Experience with Linux, Git and debugging tools
• English language skills sufficient for day-to-day technical work
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience with digital cameras, image sensors or video pipelines
• V4L2, MIPI-CSI or other camera interfaces
• Zephyr or FreeRTOS
• STM32 / ARM Cortex-M
• Linux kernel and device driver development
• Yocto or Buildroot
• FPGA integration
• Networking and video streaming
• Python for testing and automation
• PCB bring-up and hardware debugging
• Experience with UAV or drone systems
WHY LUNA ROBOTICS?
At Luna Robotics, your code doesn't stay on a computer screen — it becomes part of a real product and flies with our cameras.
You'll work close to the hardware, contribute to technical decisions and see the entire product development process — from the first prototype to a manufactured device.
You'll collaborate directly with engineers across embedded software, electronics, optics and mechanics, giving you the opportunity to understand and influence the complete system.
If you enjoy embedded development, challenging technical problems and want to build camera systems for drones, we'd like to hear from you.
